Summer Hospital Ranchi, August 2024

Community health is an important visionary aspect of any nation. Today a free Physiotherapy camp was organized by Summer Hospital, Ranchi under the visionary guidance of Dr. Rajiv Ranjan, Dr Sonal Ilwadi, and Dr. Rajeev Nagpal. The free camp ideas were brought in by Anjana Physiotherapy department at Summer Hospital, Ranchi, Jharkhand.

Anjana Physiotherapy was created in the loving memory of a Teacher and Humanist Late Mrs. Anjana Ilwadi by her daughter Dr. Sonal Ilwadi to support community health for the underprivileged population living around the Hatia suburbs of Ranchi.

These ideas are worth collaborating with local physiotherapists in Panchrukhi for similar free camps to benefit underprivileged patients.

Physiotherapy camps are important for the poor population for several reasons:

  1. Accessibility: Physiotherapy camps bring healthcare services to remote or underserved areas, making them more accessible to those who cannot afford or access regular healthcare.
  2. Affordability: Free or low-cost physiotherapy services reduce financial burdens on low-income families.
  3. Awareness: Camps raise awareness about the benefits of physiotherapy, promoting early intervention and treatment.
  4. Early Intervention: Physiotherapy camps enable early detection and treatment of conditions, preventing further complications.
  5. Pain Management: Physiotherapy helps manage chronic pain, improving quality of life.
  6. Rehabilitation: Physiotherapy camps provide rehabilitation services, enabling individuals to regain mobility and independence.
  7. Empowerment: Physiotherapy camps empower individuals to take control of their health, promoting self-care and self-management.
  8. Reducing Disability: Physiotherapy camps help reduce disability and promote inclusivity.
  9. Community Engagement: Camps foster community engagement, promoting health-seeking behavior.
  10. Addressing Health Disparities: Physiotherapy camps help address health disparities, ensuring equal access to healthcare for marginalized populations.

By addressing these aspects, physiotherapy camps play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of the poor population.

Many people in India are still unable to afford decent health services and such initiatives bring hope to the community in finding solutions to challenges with public health.

It is inspiring to see the efforts of doctors like Dr. Rajiv Ranjan, Dr. Sonal Ilwadi, and Dr. Rajeev Nagpal who are dedicated in their service to promote community health.
