A touching story of a mother cow and her baby calf.

It all started eventually one day, It was a normal morning when we noticed the people from one side of the other village hushed back an indigenous cow and her new infant. At first, it seemed like a pet who had lost her way home. She was driven away by the villagers as they protect their crops and vegetation from stray animals. after some time we could see people from the other village making them run away from their area to protect their crops. Female calf (bachhari) seemed newborn and she was completely vulnerable to street dogs. We could see that her mother was very protective and concerned about the child. Both stopped in front of our house as if asking for help.

By adopting cows, we could provide them with a safe and loving home, while also contributing to the society in a positive way. So we started by adopting two cows, a mother cow and her calf, and started taking care of them. We would feed them twice a day and give them regular medical checkups. We also started educating our neighbors about the importance of caring for animals and how it can have a positive impact on the environment and society.

Our initiative has had a significant impact on our community. We have not only provided a safe home for these cows but also prevented them from becoming a nuisance on the roads. By adopting cows, we have also encouraged other people in our community to take care of animals and provide them with a safe and loving home.

Moreover, adopting cows has also provided us with a source of organic milk and manure. We use the manure for our garden and also share it with our neighbors. This has helped us in reducing our carbon footprint and promoting sustainable living.

This incident left a deep impression on us, and we started researching the problems faced by stray animals in India. We found out that India has a huge population of stray animals, with an estimated 30 million street dogs and 1.3 million stray cows. These animals often face neglect, abuse, and malnutrition, and their presence on the streets can also pose a threat to human safety.

We wanted to do something to help these animals, and idea of adopting cows has been a satisfaction in it. We realized that cows are a very important animal in India and are considered sacred by many people.

In conclusion, adopting cows has been a very rewarding experience for us. We have not only contributed to a good cause but also gained new family member. We encourage everyone to take care of animals and contribute to society in their own way. Small initiatives like these can have a huge impact on our environment and society.
